FOLKLORE TO HIGH FASHION: Fashion Illustrations | Valentina Mahecha

FOLKLORE TO HIGH FASHION – an exhibition by Venezuelan artist Valentina Machecha.  Her passion for fashion, illustration, and styling started at a young age.  Throughout her childhood, Valentina was obsessed with colors and textures and constantly showed her creativity.  In 2011, Valentina moved to the capital of fashion, Milan, Italy, where she studied fashion at the Instituto Marangoni, considered the third-best fashion school in the world.  After graduating with a Master in Fashion Design, she worked with well-known fashion houses such as Ermanno Scervino, Phillipp Plein, Francesco Scognamigo, and others.  She created her brand Furia Folk, using T-shirts as a canvas to express the nature and folk of her culture.
